A fact of our Christian life is that we always have something to fight off. And this time is no different. This is because of the adversary we all have to deal with, who is constantly stirring up one thing after another. He never relents in his war against humanity, no matter who you are. His aim is to get us to give up and give in, so he can dominate us.
We however have a guarantee to overcome him. He tried stirring up rebellion in Heaven against God Himself. But he failed and was cast down here on earth and has since then been on the attack. The Lord has also armed us with powerful weapons that help us to overcome him. That is the blood of the Lamb of God; our Lord Jesus Christ.
The Word of our testimony is another weapon. The Word of God as we relate it to our lives, and succeed in living it, overpowers the enemy. It disarms him because his purposes are defeated when we do what the Word says. He prefers we disobey and rebel against it. Therefore, by our obedience to God, and by engaging in spiritual warfare prayers in which we invoke the power of the blood of Jesus, we will surely overcome Satan. Remember that Jesus is coming again!
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I thank You for the provision You have made for us to overcome the enemy and all his devices. I am indeed an overcomer in Jesus’ name. Amen!
