“And Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever. The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.” And the Lord said to Moses, “Why do you cry to Me? In the face of adversities and unforeseen situations, our natural instincts cause us to be shaken and destabilized. That is human nature. However, by familiarizing ourselves with the scriptures we will realize that nothing takes our God by surprise. He is The Alpha and Omega (The Beginning and The End).
That means what is sudden and new to us is no surprise to our Father in Heaven at all. He knows the end from the beginning and therefore no circumstance takes Him by storm. Here then is our confidence: He knows what to do and has His response to “the unforeseen” (to us, not to Him), already.
It is when we do not remember what He has done in the past that we become afraid and shaken. So the key is, remember His Word (especially what He has done before and His promises). Remain calm and allow His peace to take over your mind and heart. Have no hysteria but believe and pray. And then see the salvation of the Lord coming. You will surely overcome. Jesus is coming soon!
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I ask for the ability and the courage to withstand situations that are overwhelming. I receive grace to still believe You in challenging times, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
