“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”— Philippians 4:6-7 (Nkjv)
In everything that has an outcome, there are deciding factors. But there is usually “the key one”. Looking through these verses closely, the key factor is thanksgiving. There must be something about it that makes a great difference in our situations.
Thanksgiving has power to lift our anxieties, worries and fears. Once we start giving thanks to God, our memories are refreshed by the things He has done already. It also brings an assurance that He is able to deal with what is now facing us too. That then releases the peace only the Lord can give.
When the Lord hears not only our petitions and requests always but our gratitude for His deliverances, His protection, blessings and provisions, it touches Him to do more. Thanksgiving is a “morale booster”, even to God. Learn to fill your prayers with it. Sometimes take a whole time just appreciating what the Lord has done. It is the key to seeing more of your prayers answered. Jesus is coming again!

Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your grace and mercies over my life. Thank You for being my Provider, Protector and Helper. Thank You that You will always be there for me in all things. Amen!
