By the grace of God, we are realizing the real intentions of the Lord for our mouths; what God created them originally for. One of them is to praise the Lord, and that continually. By our praise, we can actually attract the presence of God into our lives and into our midst because “God inhabits the praises of His people”.
Now, Satan also knows our praise is a powerful weapon against him. He knows what our mouths can do, having been with God before (as Lucifer, the archangel in charge of heavenly worship). So his purpose is to change the use of our mouths; to pervert its power, to produce the opposite of what God wants. He seeks to make us use our mouths to utter the wrong things instead of praising the Lord.
In times when things are not the best, faith can help you still praise God. You can replace lamenting, complaining and murmuring with praises to God for what He has done and He is about to do. At this time, paise can be a great asset in your life. Pray that God will open your eyes to know and comprehend the power He has given you in your mouth. Keep praising the Lord! Jesus is coming soon!
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I thank You for opening my eyes to what praise is and what it does. Please help me to use my mouth in offering praises always to You. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen!
