As we grow and mature in the Lord over time, we come to the place of understanding things better. More importantly in this faith walk, when our prayers are finally answered, we then realize our error in complaining. That is what happened with Job, the man who feared and served God and yet suffered massively.
Like Job, we sometimes whine or moan when we face difficulties and unexplainable challenges. It is especially so when solutions and answers are nowhere in sight, and worse still, hearing nothing from God. What we should rather be doing is meditating on God’s Word. Or in our ignorance, we may even blame and accuse Him of neglect.
Now, we can learn from Job and our own past experiences and avoid speaking rashly. Because when God finally moves, we are almost always ashamed that we assumed wrongly and spoke too early. From God’s track record of faithfulness, it pays to wait for Him till He fulfills His Word. In the waiting time, always pray for God’s sustaining grace. Jesus is coming again!
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I thank you for Your faithfulness and blessings to me. I pray for the grace to always wait for Your response to my needs and prayers, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
