More Questions Than Answers

“Then Jesus lifted up His eyes, and seeing a great multitude coming toward Him, He said to Philip, “Where shall we buy bread, that these may eat?” But this He said to test him, for He Himself knew what He would do. Philip answered Him, “Two hundred denarii worth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may have a little.” One of His disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, said to Him, “There is a lad here who has five barley loaves and two small fish, but what are they among so many?””— John 6:5-9 (Nkjv)
There is a representation here that is most common to our daily lives; there is always something that seems beyond our capacity to handle. There are sometimes more questions for us than answers. The Lord Himself knows that. He asked Philip an everyday question: “where shall we buy bread for all these”?
That question is still on for some people and that is what may be in our minds or on our lips today for our dependents. Obviously then, Philip had no workable solution. And with us too, even when there is a little hope, the reality would be that it may be woefully inadequate. With more questions than answers, our natural reaction becomes anxiety, desperation and worry. But the good news is, there is always a way when the Lord is involved.
When you do not know what to do, remember the Lord knows what to do. He has an answer for everything. Your part is to go to Him in prayer for grace and wisdom. To help that, develop the habit of getting into His Word, listening to relevant messages, read, if you can lay hold on good books, get knowledge, and seek godly counsel. You will not lack answers. Jesus is coming again!
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your love and care for us. I pray for answers to the questions on my mind concerning my challenges and needs as to what to do and how to go about them, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
