“Then I saw all the work of God, that a man cannot find out the work that is done under the sun. For though a man labors to discover it, yet he will not find it; moreover, though a wise man attempts to know it, he will not be able to find it”— Ecclesiastes 8:17 (Nkjv)
Man has tried hard to find the sources and causes of everything around us. Research is one of the best things that has blessed us yet much more remain as mysteries as at present. These are what remain as God’s preserve. He alone knows and can deal with them.
We must, of course, do our best practically to deal with our present issues and get round them. In order that we will depend on and seek God to unravel hidden things for us, He seems to leave them so. But when we recognize that man has limitations as far as some of those things are concerned, we would learn not to fret or fear but depend on His supernatural ability to deal with them.
It is up to us to recognize that He is God and give Him His place in our affairs, to help us with those things that are beyond us. It is then that it becomes miraculous and then we give Him praise. We do ourselves a great disservice if we do not trust Him because He is still does the extraordinary. Remember, Jesus is coming soon!
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I pray that I will not be deceived into depending on my own strengths and abilities to solve what is beyond me. I ask for grace to connect with Your power to deal with them, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
